Increasing numbers of children have been to an emergency room or hospitalized after accidentally consuming cannabis. Help prevent these accidents among children and pets by storing your cannabis products safely and securely.
Lock it up: Cannabis should be clearly labeled and stored in locked containers and kept in original child-resistant packaging. Edibles often resemble candy or baked goods, and concentrated products can cause severe reactions in children who consume them accidentally.
Count it up: Monitor supply by marking or counting weekly.
Talk it up: Signs of intentional cannabis use include red eyes, increased appetite, slow reaction times, and a distinct odor on clothing or in rooms. Cannabis is an intoxicating product that impairs decision making. Consider having a sober caregiver or babysitter when you choose to use.
